The Laser card is on the way out – BOI and AIB are eventually replacing it with Visa Debit cards – which can be used to shop online everywhere (99%).
Laser cards are  accepted in very few online shopping sites – most of the major UK ones don’t accept Laser cards. We have a list below of some sites that do take laser cards.

One  option for online shopping for people who only have a Laser card – is to apply for a Prepaid Mastercard from Moneybookers. It only costs €10 a year and you can  load it up online with no fees using your laser card. Hollister recently opened a store in Ireland – in the Dundrum Shopping Centre.
